As of January 19, 109 patients with measles were registered in the Ukrainian capital, 81 of them were children. This was reported by Valentina Ginzburg, Director of the Department of Health of Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA), the press service of the KSCA reports.
“On the morning of January 19, 109 cases of measles were registered in Kiev, including 81 cases among children under 17,” Ginzburg said.
Earlier, Health Minister Ulyana Suprun said that in Ukraine since early 2018, measles fell ill to 1,285 adults and children. Most cases of the disease are registered in Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Transcarpathian, Odessa and Kiev regions. It was also reported that since the beginning of the year 8 people died from measles in Ukraine.
