The Amsterdam police said that shooting in the city center on the evening of January 26 is not a terrorist act. This is reported by De Telegraaf.
“We would notify people about the need to take cover if it was a terrorist act, which is more like crime,” the police spokesman said.
As previously reported, as a result of the shooting, one person was killed, two more were injured. Nevertheless, the police do not accurately name the number of victims.
The Dutch newspaper Het Parool declares that the deceased is a young Amsterdamian of Moroccan descent. According to the newspaper, armed people broke into the youth center and “clearly” looked for a teenager who attended training there for kickboxing.
